Located in Monroe, GA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers passionate individuals to become engaged advocates for a just food system through the Allegheny Mountain Institute. Our program focuses on fostering a socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable food landscape by providing comprehensive organic food system education. Fellows benefit from hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they cultivate and distribute a variety of crops, implement innovative educational sessions, and maintain community gardens. By supporting farmers markets and enhancing direct-to-consumer programs, our Fellows also work towards increasing access to healthy foods across the region. With no tuition fees, we aim to make this transformative Fellowship accessible to all. Selected individuals will participate in a six-month experiential training followed by a Community Action Year, where they apply their learning in collaboration with local non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience running from May to October.
