About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Newnan, GA, is dedicated to cultivating leaders who advocate for a just food system that balances social, environmental, and economic needs. This immersive program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on training, focusing on organic food system education and practical experience on a market-style farm. Participants engage with community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and teach food literacy in schools. By supporting farmers markets and developing distribution channels for healthy foods, our Fellows play a vital role in enhancing local food accessibility. The Fellowship includes a six-month residential experience at our farm and a subsequent Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits. Applications are open until March, with the Fellowship running from May to October, ensuring a transformative journey for those passionate about sustainable food systems.
