About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Powder Springs, GA, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. By offering a tuition-free program, we ensure that our fellowship is accessible to all aspiring fellows. Participants engage in six months of hands-on, residential training at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, where they learn about organic agriculture, food justice, and community engagement. After completing their training, fellows utilize their skills during a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profits to promote food assistance initiatives, develop community gardens, support farmers' markets, and advance food literacy in schools. Our goal is to empower fellows to cultivate impactful, equitable food systems and to foster healthier communities.
