About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Nestled in Statesboro, GA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders in food justice and sustainability. Through comprehensive training and support, we empower Fellows to become effective advocates and educators, championing a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program offers an invaluable opportunity for selected individuals to immerse themselves in a six-month, hands-on learning experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they gain expertise in organic food systems, and actively engage in projects that include growing and distributing diverse crops, managing community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in educational settings. With no tuition fees, we ensure that our Fellowship remains accessible to all passionate candidates, promoting community engagement through initiatives like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. Applications are open until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October, allowing Fellows to apply their knowledge in partnership with regional nonprofits during the Community Action Year.
