About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Thomasville, GA is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders who advocate for a food system grounded in social, environmental, and economic justice. This fellowship offers a transformative six-month experience at Allegheny Farm, where selected participants receive hands-on training in organic food systems. With no tuition fees, our program promotes accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Throughout their journey, fellows collaborate with community partners to grow diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain gardens, and enhance food literacy in educational settings. They also play a vital role in supporting local farmers markets and developing distribution channels to improve access to healthy foods. Following their training, fellows engage in a Community Action Year, applying their skills with regional non-profits to make a tangible impact in their communities. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
