Located in Tifton, GA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators committed to a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. The Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for selected individuals to engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, where they gain hands-on training in organic food systems. Participants will collaborate with community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, facilitate educational sessions on innovative health care practices, maintain school and community gardens, and incorporate food and ecological literacy into local programs. Additionally, they will play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and expanding access to healthy food through direct-to-consumer initiatives. The program emphasizes accessibility by not charging tuition, allowing Fellows to focus on meaningful community impact during their year of service, which follows their initial training.
