About Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program in Valdosta, GA, is dedicated to supporting the health and nutrition of low-income families. Our federally-funded program provides essential assistance to pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, postpartum women, and children up to five years of age, including those in foster care. WIC is committed to serving families who meet income guidelines or are enrolled in Medicaid and are at risk of nutritional deficiencies. Participants benefit from access to healthy food through special checks for WIC-authorized vendors, along with comprehensive nutrition assessments, health screenings, and education. Our supportive resources, such as breastfeeding assistance and referrals to healthcare and social services, aim to empower families in their nutritional journey. To find out if you qualify for our services, we encourage you to use the online WIC Eligibility Assessment on Georgia’s WIC website and connect with your local WIC office in Valdosta for further assistance.
