About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Villa Rica, GA, is dedicated to cultivating leaders who advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through hands-on training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, our Fellows engage in organic food system education, empowering them to teach and promote sustainable practices within their communities. Our program is designed to enhance accessibility by eliminating tuition costs, enabling participants to focus on impactful projects such as growing diversified crops, implementing health education sessions, managing school and community gardens, and promoting food literacy in educational settings. Throughout their experience, which includes a six-month immersive training followed by a Community Action Year with local non-profits, Fellows work collaboratively to support farmers markets, create distribution channels for healthy foods, and bolster community food initiatives. Apply by March for a transformative experience running from May to October.
