Located in Algonquin, IL, Food Distribution is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to local residents facing urgent needs, including the unemployed, underemployed, working poor, homeless individuals, seniors, and children. Our food pantry operates with a welcoming, supermarket-style setup, allowing clients to choose from a variety of packaged, canned, refrigerated, and frozen foods using shopping carts. We strive to meet short-term emergency food needs while helping individuals connect with longer-term social service resources. Each client may visit our pantry up to twice a month, with service tailored to their specific needs determined through a quick application and income verification process. In response to COVID-19, we've adjusted our operations to ensure safety while continuing to serve our community; clients can sign in and wait in their vehicles until they receive a text notification for pickup. Our mission is to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry, and we are here to help as long as needed.
