The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Bloomington, IL, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive and free 12-month education initiative. Participants can engage with six informative e-booklets designed to meet them at their unique level of understanding, alongside a monthly e-newsletter packed with seasonal tips and valuable resources available in both English and Spanish. In addition to educational materials, our program connects enrollees to local community events that enhance their journey. For added support, participants who provide their phone numbers are invited to the monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, where they can pose questions to ADA professionals, explore the essential connection between diabetes and heart health, and enjoy giveaways aimed at promoting well-being.
