At Northwest Compass in Des Plaines, IL, we believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Our Youth HYPE Housing Program is dedicated to empowering young adults aged 18-24 to actively engage in managing their housing situations, providing essential resources and support tailored to their unique needs. We offer a welcoming Walk-In Entry Point Center, partnering with The Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County to connect individuals with critical services. Our program includes limited financial assistance for homeless prevention, education on tenant rights, and advocacy for those facing eviction or foreclosure. Additionally, we provide money management counseling and career coaching to equip clients with the skills needed for job readiness and employment. As a proud partner of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, we also assist with SNAP and Medicaid applications and operate a food pantry, available monthly to all residents who register. At Northwest Compass, we take pride in treating each person with dignity, striving to transform crises into opportunities through compassion and comprehensive support.
