This transformative program empowers selected Fellows through hands-on education in organic farming at the picturesque Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, without charging tuition to ensure accessibility. Throughout the six-month residency, Fellows immerse themselves in diverse agricultural practices, engage in community gardening, and facilitate workshops that promote food and ecological literacy in local schools.
