El Mercadito Food Pantry, located in Niles, IL, is a collaborative initiative between La Casa Norte and Nourishing Hope, dedicated to alleviating hunger among Chicago residents. With a strong belief that meeting basic human needs is essential to breaking the cycle of poverty, we provide access to nutritious groceries, including fresh produce, dairy, and meat. Beyond food assistance, our program also offers vital services during food pick-up, such as support with public benefits, job search training, and mental health counseling from Nourishing Hope, along with information and referral services from La Casa Norte.
