At the Youth HYPE Housing Program in Wheeling, IL, we believe that every individual deserves a safe and supportive place to call home. Our mission is to empower young adults aged 18-24 experiencing homelessness by providing essential resources and personalized support to navigate their housing situations effectively. As part of Northwest Compass, we offer a welcoming Walk-In Entry Point Center for those in the North Suburban Region, connecting clients with vital resources through our collaboration with The Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County. Our services include limited financial assistance for homeless prevention, comprehensive financial education, career coaching, and advocacy for those facing eviction or foreclosure. Additionally, we assist with SNAP and Medicaid applications and provide access to a food pantry for residents, ensuring that their basic needs are met. Our dedicated team approaches each situation with compassion, treating everyone with the dignity they deserve, and working tirelessly to turn crises into opportunities. All of our services are offered free of charge, as we strive to create a community where every young adult can thrive.
