Based in Augusta, KS, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system through education and hands-on experience. This unique fellowship empowers individuals to become advocates for social, environmental, and economic equality in the food landscape. Participants receive comprehensive training in organic food systems without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Throughout the fellowship, selected individuals engage in experiential learning at our campus, where they will grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain community gardens, and facilitate educational initiatives that promote food literacy and health. By partnering with regional non-profits, Fellows not only enhance local farmers markets but also develop vital distribution channels to improve access to nutritious foods. The fellowship culminates in a Community Action Year, allowing participants to apply their acquired skills in meaningful and impactful ways, fostering holistic support for community food initiatives.
