Located in Bonner Springs, KS, the Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) program is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive support for patients aged 13 and older who are undergoing treatment for cancer and blood disorders. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including social workers, child life specialists, nutritionists, and physicians, focuses on the unique needs of AYA patients, ensuring they receive tailored clinical services and emotional support throughout their treatment journey. We prioritize family involvement and actively seek feedback to continuously enhance our care efforts. As patients transition to adult care at age 21, we facilitate a seamless handover to adult Hematology/Oncology providers, maintaining a continuum of care. At AYA, we understand that every individual’s journey is different, and we are here to provide the resources, guidance, and understanding necessary for each patient's success and wellbeing.
