Located in De Soto, KS, the Student Basic Needs Center - Cav Cupboard is dedicated to alleviating the pressures faced by currently enrolled JCCC students and their families by providing essential food assistance, school supplies, and personal hygiene products. Our mission focuses on ensuring students can navigate through financial hardships with dignity and regain their focus on academic success. Each week, students can access our services twice, where they can select up to five protein items and eight personal hygiene items, along with filling their backpacks with necessary school supplies during each visit. To prioritize safety during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we operate by appointment only, creating a welcoming environment that supports our community's educational goals and well-being.
