The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Eudora, Kansas, is dedicated to alleviating hunger by providing free USDA commodity foods to low-income households throughout the area. With shipments occurring five to six times a year, we work with local organizations to distribute essential food items that support basic nutritional needs, including canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta. Each family receives a carefully curated selection, ranging from four to ten essential food items per distribution. To access this vital assistance, clients must apply in their home county, ensuring that no family goes without the nourishment they need.
