Meals on Wheels of Eastern Kansas is dedicated to serving seniors and homebound individuals in Eudora, Shawnee, Jefferson, and Douglas counties by providing essential food assistance that promotes independence and wellbeing. Our program ensures that vulnerable community members receive nutritious, hot meals delivered daily, which can significantly aid in managing chronic health conditions and preventing hospitalizations. Participants aged 60 and above benefit from a reduced rate of $4.00 per meal, while those under 60 can access meals for $5.50. For homebound seniors eligible under the Older Americans Act, we cover their meal costs and simply welcome voluntary donations to support our mission. Our commitment is to foster safety and health among our seniors through accessible meal delivery.
