The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) operates in Eureka, Kansas, offering essential food assistance to low-income households across the state. Our mission is to alleviate hunger by distributing free USDA commodity foods that meet basic nutritional needs. TEFAP delivers a variety of nutritious items, including canned vegetables, fruits, meats, cereals, juices, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta, ensuring that each household receives a minimum of four to a maximum of ten food items with every shipment. Recognizing the urgency of food insecurity, we collaborate with local organizations to facilitate distribution, and we invite clients to apply through their home county for access to these crucial resources.
