MOVE! Weight Management Program, located in Girard, Kansas, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through comprehensive weight management and health promotion initiatives. Our mission is to ensure that every Veteran who receives care at VA facilities is screened annually for obesity and connected to personalized weight management services tailored to their individual needs and preferences. We offer a variety of support options, including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and TeleMOVE! for in-home guidance. For those who prefer a self-directed approach, the MOVE! Coach mobile app is available. Additionally, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery for Veterans facing ongoing challenges with weight-related issues. To participate in MOVE!, Veterans can consult with their local MOVE! Coordinator or VA provider to explore the available services and get started on their weight loss journey.
