The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lyons, KS, nurtures the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture by sponsoring, training, and empowering individuals to promote a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. This fellowship emphasizes organic food systems education, enabling participants to engage in meaningful initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational programs. Selected Fellows embark on a transformative six-month residential experience at AMI’s campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they partner with regional non-profits to put their training into action. By creating pathways to healthier food access and advocating for innovative community food solutions, the fellowship not only fosters individual growth but also strengthens the local food network.
