The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is dedicated to supporting low-income households in Mulvane, KS, by providing free USDA commodity foods to meet essential nutritional needs. Through regular shipments five to six times a year, we partner with local organizations to distribute a variety of nutritious food items, including canned vegetables, fruits, juices, meats, cereals, peanut butter, nonfat dry milk, and pasta. Each participating household receives a minimum of four and up to ten different food items, ensuring families have access to healthy options. To receive food assistance, individuals must apply in their home county, allowing us to effectively connect with those in urgent need of support and nourishment.
