The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Prairie Village, KS, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that is equitable, sustainable, and community-focused. Through a comprehensive, six-month experiential program, selected Fellows gain hands-on education in organic food systems at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participating in initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and implementing health-focused educational sessions. This Fellowship supports a wide range of activities, including mentoring future fellows and enhancing access to healthy food through collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Committed to promoting accessibility, AMI does not charge tuition, ensuring that all passionate advocates can embark on this transformative journey. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October, providing a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in food justice and community resilience.
