In Bastrop, LA, the Morehouse Council on Aging’s Nutrition Services Programs are dedicated to ensuring that seniors have access to healthy, balanced meals tailored to their needs. Recognizing the unique nutritional challenges that come with aging, we offer two vital programs: our Congregate Nutrition Program provides nourishing meals in a welcoming environment for individuals over 60, fostering community and social interaction while meeting one-third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance per meal, five days a week. For those who are homebound due to illness or incapacitating circumstances, our Home Delivered Nutrition Program ensures that seniors receive delicious, nutritionally balanced meals at home, also meeting the same dietary standards.
