About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bossier City, LA, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing a tuition-free education in organic food systems, the Fellowship promotes accessibility for all participants. Over a six-month immersive experience at our dedicated campus, Fellows learn to cultivate diversified crops on a market-style farm, implement innovative health care educational sessions, and engage with community gardens. They also gain valuable skills in food and ecological literacy, support local farmers markets, and help develop channels for greater access to healthy foods. After their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, working alongside regional non-profits to foster sustainable food initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, allowing selected Fellows to make a tangible impact in their local communities.
