Located in Bossier City, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a program of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO), is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity among seniors by providing monthly nutritional food boxes and essential nutrition education. Each food box is carefully packed with a variety of healthy staples, including canned meats, fresh vegetables, fruits, breakfast cereals, American cheese, pasta, rice, and shelf-stable milk, ensuring seniors have the resources they need to maintain a balanced diet. Our educational initiatives empower participants to make informed choices about nutrition, teaching them how to prepare simple recipes, manage caloric intake, stretch their food budget, and eat healthily.
