In Coushatta, LA, the Breastfeeding Support Group provides a nurturing environment for mothers to connect, share experiences, and gain valuable insights into breastfeeding. Led by La Leche League Leaders and fellow mothers, our group meetings foster supportive discussions on essential topics, including the benefits of breastfeeding, welcoming baby home, avoiding common challenges, and nutrition during weaning. We welcome expectant, new, and experienced mothers along with their babies to participate in this welcoming community. Although in-person meetings are currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage mothers to reach out to local leaders for support and explore alternative meeting options that promote ongoing education and encouragement in their breastfeeding journey.
