The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Coushatta, LA, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that is equitable and sustainable. Our program provides comprehensive organic food system education, emphasizing the importance of social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Through hands-on experiences at our campus, selected Fellows engage in diverse projects, including growing and distributing crops, establishing community gardens, and promoting health education. By collaborating with local non-profits, they also support farmers markets and enhance access to nutritious food within the community. With no tuition fees, we strive to make this Fellowship accessible for all aspiring food advocates. Applications are welcome until March, with the program running from May to October, culminating in impactful community action efforts throughout the region.
