The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Duson, LA, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a free and accessible educational journey over 12 months. Our program offers essential resources, including six informative e-booklets tailored to meet each participant's needs as they navigate their new diagnosis. We provide a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips and local community event information, available in both English and Spanish, to ensure that all participants feel included and supported. Enrollees are also invited to our monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, where they can pose diabetes-related questions directly to ADA experts, participate via phone or online, and gain valuable insights into the connection between diabetes and heart health. We strive to equip our participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive with diabetes while fostering a warm community of support.
