Cajun Area Agency on Aging Inc. is dedicated to serving the needs of the elderly in Franklin, LA, and the surrounding eight parishes, including Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion. Our mission centers on providing comprehensive support through a range of essential services, such as nutritious congregate and home-delivered meals for homebound seniors, elderly protective services, and homemaker assistance to aid with light housekeeping. We also offer in-home respite to give caregivers a much-needed break, alongside legal assistance for those requiring legal advice and representation. Our ombudsman program works diligently to advocate for residents in long-term care facilities, ensuring their rights are upheld. Additionally, we foster community and wellness through recreational activities, regular phone check-ins, safe transportation to appointments, and home visits that provide companionship and encouragement.
