Parents As Teachers- Region 9A MIECHV in Independence, LA, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of pregnant women and families with young children through a no-cost, voluntary program backed by the Louisiana Department of Health’s Bureau of Family Health. Our initiative pairs families with caring registered nurses or experienced parent educators who offer tailored support and coaching within the comfort of their homes or preferred locations. Participants receive valuable health education, development of positive parenting skills, and personalized guidance to achieve personal goals like returning to school or work.
