In Independence, LA, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Food Program is dedicated to fostering healthy lifestyles for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to ensure that families have access to supplemental foods rich in essential nutrients for growth and development. Alongside providing nutritious food assistance, we offer valuable nutrition education to enhance dietary habits and overall health. Our caring team is here to support and encourage breastfeeding, as well as connect families with additional health services to ensure comprehensive care. We invite those who qualify to reach out and engage with our program to cultivate a healthier future for themselves and their children.
