Food for Families / Food for Seniors, part of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to supporting the nutritional needs of seniors in Jonesboro, LA, through our monthly food assistance program. We provide eligible seniors with comprehensive food boxes containing essential items such as canned meats, vegetables, fruits, breakfast cereals, and shelf-stable milk, along with valuable nutrition education. Our mission extends beyond food by equipping participants with practical knowledge on how to prepare healthy meals using commodity foods, effectively manage their caloric intake, and maximize their grocery budgets. By nourishing both body and mind, we strive to promote a healthier lifestyle for our community's seniors.
