The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kentwood, LA, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators committed to a just food system. Our program empowers participants through organic food system education while ensuring accessibility by waiving tuition for all Fellows. Throughout a transformative six-month experience at our farm campus, selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning and training, working on market-style farms to grow and distribute a variety of crops, develop community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in schools. In addition, they support farmers markets, enhance access to healthy foods, and collaborate with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. This fellowship not only fosters individual growth but also strengthens community ties and food systems, creating a ripple effect of positive change in the region. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply by March each year, with the program running from May to October.
