Located in La Place, LA, the Community Connections - Habilitation Day Program is dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through a diverse range of integrated activities. Our mission is to equip participants with essential life skills and support their journey toward meaningful employment. We offer comprehensive services including nutrition and health education, daily life skills training, exercise and fitness classes, recreation, supported employment opportunities, basic literacy instruction, and computer skills development. Our engaging activities cover educational pursuits in our computer lab and reading sessions, as well as creative outlets like arts, theater, dance, and music, all designed to foster self-expression. Additionally, we prioritize physical fitness through yoga and tai chi, promote healthy cooking habits, and provide sensory learning experiences for those with limited mobility. Our program also includes community outings to local festivals, parks, libraries, and sporting events, ensuring each participant enjoys a well-rounded and enriching experience.
