Food for Families / Food for Seniors, part of the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to supporting eligible seniors in Madisonville, LA, by providing essential food assistance and nutritional education. Each month, we deliver nutritional food boxes filled with a variety of healthy items, including canned meats, fruits, vegetables, breakfast cereals, and dairy products, aimed at promoting balanced diets and stretching food budgets. In addition to emergency food supplies, our program prioritizes educating seniors on healthy eating practices with simple recipes and valuable tips, ensuring they have the knowledge to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
