Food for Families / Food for Seniors in Mansfield, LA, is a dedicated program under Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO), aimed at providing essential food assistance to eligible seniors. Each month, we deliver nutritious food boxes filled with canned meats, vegetables, fruits, breakfast options, cheese, pasta, milk, and protein sources such as peanut butter or dried beans. Beyond nourishment, we empower our participants with valuable nutrition education, including easy-to-prepare recipes and tips on budgeting for healthy eating. Our mission is to ensure that seniors not only receive emergency food but also gain knowledge to maintain a balanced diet.
