Based in Metairie, LA, Food Stamp Assistance is dedicated to providing essential support for individuals and families navigating the Food Stamp application process. Our mission is to ensure that everyone can access food assistance without the added stress of bureaucratic hurdles during difficult times. We offer an intuitive screener to determine eligibility for SNAP benefits, allowing users to seamlessly check their qualification status by texting FOOD to 74544 or visiting our online platform. For those likely eligible, we guide next steps for applying for benefits and can connect clients with community partners who assist with filling out applications over the phone. We believe that receiving emergency food assistance should be straightforward and supportive, helping our community members regain stability and nourishment when they need it most.
