Based in Minden, LA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers individuals to become champions of a fair and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive, hands-on program, Fellows are engaged in organic food system education that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This accessible initiative promotes diverse crops on market-style farms, fosters innovative health care education, and supports the establishment and maintenance of community gardens. By integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings and enhancing farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, the Fellowship is dedicated to increasing access to healthy foods. Selected Fellows immerse themselves in a six-month experiential journey at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they put their skills into action with local non-profits. Applications are open until March, with experiences running from May to October.
