The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Monroe, LA, is dedicated to fostering the health and wellness of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to promote healthy food habits by offering supplemental foods rich in essential nutrients for optimal growth and development. We emphasize nutrition education to help families improve their dietary choices, provide support and resources for breastfeeding mothers, and connect participants with additional health services. At WIC, we believe that every child deserves a healthy start and every woman deserves the guidance and support she needs for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum journey.
