In Opelousas, LA, the Breastfeeding Support Group brings together expectant, new, and experienced mothers to share valuable experiences and offer heartfelt support in a welcoming environment. Led by La Leche League Leaders, our gatherings focus on important topics such as the benefits of breastfeeding, preparing to bring baby home, navigating potential challenges, and nutrition and weaning. Here, mothers connect through meaningful dialogue and camaraderie, enhancing their breastfeeding journey. We are committed to providing a nurturing space for mothers and their babies, with an emphasis on nutrition education and peer support. While in-person meetings are currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage local mothers to reach out to their leaders for ongoing support and alternative meeting options.
