The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Opelousas, LA, is dedicated to supporting individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive, free, year-long journey of education and empowerment. Designed for both English and Spanish speakers, this program provides participants with six informative e-booklets that address essential diabetes management topics tailored to their needs. Participants also benefit from a monthly e-newsletter filled with seasonal tips, local community events, and valuable resources. Additionally, enrollees can submit their phone numbers to gain access to our interactive monthly Ask the Experts Q&A series, where they can pose their diabetes-related questions to leading ADA experts, learn about the connection between diabetes and heart health, and enjoy giveaways to enhance their daily lives with diabetes.
