Food for Families and Food for Seniors, an initiative of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans in Patterson, LA, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to eligible seniors through our monthly nutritional food box program. In addition to delivering nutritious food, our program empowers seniors with vital nutrition education, offering guidance on healthy eating, budgeting to stretch food dollars, and practical recipes utilizing the foods included in each box. Each food box is thoughtfully packed with canned meats, a variety of vegetables and fruits, breakfast cereals, American cheese, pantry staples like pasta and rice, shelf-stable milk, and heart-healthy options like peanut butter and fruit juice.
