Parents As Teachers - Region 9A MIECHV, located in Patterson, Louisiana, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of pregnant women and families with young children through its no-cost, voluntary home visiting program. As part of the Louisiana Department of Health's Bureau of Family Health, our mission is to empower families by providing professional guidance and support tailored to their unique circumstances. Each participating family is matched with a qualified registered nurse or parent educator who offers personalized education, coaching in positive parenting skills, and assistance in achieving personal goals, whether that means pursuing higher education or securing employment. We also facilitate connections to essential community resources to promote developmental growth and health.
