Selma Schimmel Vital Grant is a compassionate program located in Ponchatoula, LA, dedicated to supporting individuals grappling with financial hardships arising from chronic, terminal, or rare medical conditions such as cancer, Parkinson's disease, or Huntington's Disease. We understand the overwhelming challenges that come with such diagnoses, and our mission is to provide essential relief through utility assistance or grocery assistance to help ease some of the burdens. While we focus on either utilities or groceries, we also collaborate with local organizations to connect participants with additional resources and support. Our goal is to ensure that no one faces these difficult times alone, and we are here to offer both practical help and a caring hand to those in need.
