The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Rayne, LA, is dedicated to fostering a diverse and equitable food system by empowering passionate individuals to become advocates for sustainable practices. Our program provides invaluable organic food system education free of charge, ensuring that all aspiring Fellows have the opportunity to learn and grow. Over a transformative six-month experience at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in hands-on training while developing skills that enable them to implement community-focused initiatives. This includes growing and distributing diversified crops, maintaining school gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy. After their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to further enhance access to healthy food through farmers markets and educational outreach. We invite enthusiastic individuals who share our commitment to social, environmental, and economic justice in the food system to apply by March for the following year's program, which runs from May to October.
