Located in Slidell, LA, Financial Assistance for Military Families, a proud initiative of the American Red Cross, is dedicated to supporting eligible military families with urgent financial assistance around the clock. Our program addresses emergency needs by providing funds for critical situations such as emergency travel, burial of a loved one, and emergency food and shelter. We partner with military aid societies to ensure that support is both reliable and appropriate for individual circumstances. The Red Cross is ready to help streamline the application process; however, the military aid society will determine eligibility and the specific financial assistance package that best suits each family's needs. Service members and their families can conveniently submit requests online or contact our Hero Care Center for assistance. We’re here so that no military family faces hardship alone.
