Food for Families / Food for Seniors, a vital initiative by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance in Slidell, LA. Our program delivers monthly nutritional food boxes designed for eligible seniors, ensuring they have access to healthy options and the knowledge to make the most of them. Each carefully curated food box includes canned meats, a variety of vegetables and fruits, breakfast staples like cereal, and more, all aimed at promoting a balanced diet. In addition to the food, we empower seniors through nutrition education, offering tips on meal preparation, caloric intake, budgeting for groceries, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
