The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program, based in Slidell, LA, is a free initiative designed to support individuals recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Over the course of 12 months, participants engage with comprehensive resources including six informative e-booklets tailored to guide them through their diabetes management journey. Our monthly e-newsletters, available in both English and Spanish, offer seasonal tips, local community event information, and ongoing support. Enrollees are encouraged to join our monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, where they can connect with ADA specialists to get personalized advice on diabetes and its connection to heart health, all while enjoying fun giveaways. This program is dedicated to empowering participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive with diabetes.
